Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year!
As we start off with the first KYKO newsletter issue of 2026, we hope that you have been able to take some time off to enjoy the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. It always takes a few days for me to really think and see what God has blessed me with this year (and always).
We hope you were able to spend some time outside during this season as well. Overall, it looked like a pretty warm Christmas for most places around the country. As for my family, we had a good balance of relaxation and adventure which made for a pretty much perfect break. But now… it’s back to reality.
A quick note from one of our awesome new sponsors! And please remember—every click truly helps support this newsletter and keeps it going. Thank you!
Not Conservative. Not Liberal. Just Christian.
The world feels chaotic, but your news source doesn’t have to.
You can hide under a rock or spiral into the chaos… or you can subscribe to The Pour Over and get the news you need to know and the peace you crave.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, The Pour Over sends quick news summaries that are actually fun to read. Plus, each newsletter includes short biblical reminders to help you stay focused on Christ and eternity. Instead of fueling outrage or anxiety, the news becomes another prompt to rest in God and respond in faith.
Over 1.5 million Christians have ditched the doomscroll and found a better way to stay informed––Christ-first, anger-free, and (even kinda) funny.

Reflection from 2025
We started this newsletter in 2025 with the idea that many parents where struggling with getting their kids to spend more time outdoors and less time on their tablets, phones and other personal devices. It’s not that these forms of entertainment are all bad (trust me…roadtrips REQUIRE tablets for everyone’s sanity) but that a healthy balance is good for everyone.
The growth has been steady and we are excited to see how far we can take this journey. It has been really encouraging to get some feedback from readers that have implemented some ideas or just overall enjoyed the content. Our goal is to provide something meaningful that you can absolutely use but if you just enjoy the read then that is great too!
Goals for 2026
Simple goals are the most achievable so we are going to keep it that way here too. Our goal for this newsletter in 2026 is growth. We want to reach more people. We want to share more ideas. We want to get more feedback. And we want to provide meaningful content.
And one way we plan to do that is… our new FREE referral program!
